Special Programs

Included in your child`s weekly tuition we provide weekly language and music instruction in each of our classrooms - from infants through Pre-K.  We believe that both are intergral to the full educational experience and want to provide the very best for our children.  It is proven that the young child`s mind is best suited to learning multiple languages and that music is an incredible tool that enhances brain development.

We are priveledged to have had Mrs. Ana Davis as our language instructor since 2006.  Ms. Ana specializes in Spanish language exposure programs for children.  She holds a Masters degree in Modern Languages (German and Spanish) from FSU and is a PhD candidate in Hispanic Linguistics at UGA.  The Spanish program at Kids `R` Kids offers a rich curriculum tailored specifically to a young child`s ability to learn through play and music.  Children learn the language through interactive games, puppets, singing and role playing.  These activities are fun for the children while also stimulating their cognitive development.  For more information on private language instruction, please contact Ana Davis at alb770@hotmail.com

 We are excited to have Ms. Shannon Sausser, MT-BC, MAT, who is the owner of Music Therapy Services of Athens (MTSA), with us as our weekly classroom music instructor.  Shannon has been a practicing Music Therapist (Board Certified) and Music Educator (Certified K-12) for over 10 years.  She graduated with a bachelor`s degree in Music Therapy from UGA and also earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Special Education.  Shannon grew up in Charleston, SC but now calls Athens, GA home and enjoys working with children of all ages, adults and elderly adults.  Shannon is also a professional drummer in her band, Sursievision, and is proficient on the guitar, piano, drum set, hand drums, and percussion.  You can find Shannon on facebook at Music Therapy Services of Athens.
