Hi, Welcome to Kids R Kids # 23 Georgia !

My name is Corinne Bundy.  In January 2003, I became the new owner of Kids 'R' Kids #23.  My parents, Tom and Carol Kilroy built this center and are now trying to retire.  Please visit the "Our History" page to learn more about the beginning of our preschool.

I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University, and held financial positions at Georgia Pacific and Emory University School of Medicine before joining our Kids 'R' Kids family.  I have a son, Matt, who attends college and occasionally works here with us when on school breaks. I also have 2 teenage stepsons, Sean and Stefan, who enjoy playing lacrosse. My husband and I enjoy playing tennis and golf and I work on Sudoku puzzles to relax.

Please feel free to e-mail me directly at corinne@krk23ga.com with any questions, concerns or comments you may have.

  Gina Lonnee, Director    gina@krk23ga.com

I have worked in the early education field for 17 years, and have served in a Directorship role with Kids 'R' Kids since we opened in January 2000. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While in college, I worked in a lock-down classroom setting with troubled youth, and witnessed first-hand how a structured and nurturing learning environment can turn a child in the right direction. After graduating, I taught several years in a private program for two-year olds, worked with school-agers, and progressed into a Kindergarten classroom before moving to Athens in 1997. I am a member of both the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children (GAEYC). I have also worked with Directors from other early learning centers in the Athens area in supporting a regular dialogue to coordinate and address early learning issues locally. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my husband and two children (daughter Marin and son Jack) - especially if we are swimming camping, or taking in a minor league baseball game - and being an active part of my church family.

Deandra Harris, Senior Assistant Director     deandra@krk23ga.com

I'm a Senior Assistant Director at Kids 'R' Kids.  I have been with Kids 'R' Kids since January 2000.  I have a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and have previous experience as a Pre-K Assistant for two years, a first grade teacher assistant in the Atlanta Public Schools, and a coordinator of After-School Programs for Grades K-5.  I was chosen the "Employee of the Year" in 2000 at Kids 'R' Kids and was selected the "Parents' Choice Award" recipient in 2001 and 2002.  I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, playing sports and collecting children's books.

Kathy Cason, Assistant Director  kathy@krk23ga.com

I joined Kids 'R' Kids #23 as an Assistant Director in January 2005.  I have been in childcare for 16 years, both as a teacher and an administrator.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies but I also majored in Social Science and Elementary Education, and have recently received the National Administrators Credential.  My husband, Chris, and I are very involved in the children's program at our church, and we enjoy watching old movies, going on walks, and hanging out with our nieces and nephews.  I have taught children from six weeks to 12 years of age, and I have loved every minute of it.  My favorite thing about working with children is seeing the joy on their faces when they accomplish a new task.

Anita Sutton, Pre-K Teacher and Administrative Staff    anita@krk23ga.com

I am the lead teacher in Pre-K 1, and I work at the front desk in the afternoons.  I have worked in childcare since 1990 and have been with Kids 'R' Kids since 1994.  I have a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Early Education, both from the University of Georgia.  I also have specialized training in  Best Practices and the Creative Curriculum.  I was selected the "Teacher of the Year" in 2001.  I have three cats and one dog.  I enjoy reading, watching movies, and going to Disney World!
